HERCS, a smart-fitness data company based in New York City, has inked a partnership with LISNR, the global leader in proximity verification, to enable contactless ultrasonic authentication as it expands its reach into the smart-fitness ecosystem. 

The collaboration between HERCS and LISNR is LISNR’s first major partnership within the IoT space. The relationship between LISNR’s ultrasonic identification capabilities and HERCS’ mobile app and tablet will enable fitness centers and gym goers to identify themselves, provide workout instructions, and deliver unique content in a frictionless manner. 

As a result of COVID-19, gyms across the globe were forced to shut down, causing in-home equipment to soar in value. However, as gyms reopen and make a fast recovery, fitness app technology is here to stay as a way to connect users and their gym routines.
